Arya hadn't given up on trying to get Marcus to cooperate. Ever since she'd kicked him out of her bed, he'd been more or less living in his office. She'd been to see him, despite his assistant constantly insisting that he didn't want to see anyone. After a couple of days trying to convince him to listen to her, she gave up and left a message that he better be prepared for Guy coming to get her brother.

The day had finally arrived and so had Guy. They were busy catching up, working out their arrangements. She'd never promised that Damien would go with him, only that she'd tell him where to find her brother, in return he would convince Talbot to let her out of the deal struck with Marcus that had bound her to James regardless of how well they worked together. Once they had agreed that they both had upheld their end of the deal, she called Damien and asked him to come see her. She had some important information about their maker that he would like to know.

While waiting for her brother to arrive, she told Guy how he was a telepath and that under no circumstances would he give away that he was the Lord of the castle in Damien's old village. If her brother learned that, they were screwed. Now she could only hope Marcus would show up as it would make for a good show. It would be best if he didn't do so too soon though, it might give away everything with the cold front between the two right now.

Damien had received word that Arya wanted to see him. It was unusual that she wanted him to come over and that she had something to tell him about Marcus. He was more worried about what information she was going to give away. Marcus had been very odd lately, it seemed his maker didn't want to talk to anyone. He dressed in; blue jeans, plain shirt covered with a black leather jacket and a grey beanie covered his shaggy dark hair.

He left his phone at home and locked the front door. Alec had been living with him, but the hybrid was staying with his lover of sorts. He headed to Aryas house, immediately felt another vampires presence. He didn't bother knocking as he walked in and followed the scent of his sister and the unknown stranger. He found them, both were sitting and he made himself known.

He looked at the vampire before turning his bright, blue eyes on his sister. So......you wanted to talk about...Marcus... He said, totally unaware of what was really going on. He did turn his eyes back to the unknown vampire, he didn't tap into his telepathy, but he couldn't help but feel like this guy wasn't here just to visit.....he looked as if he came here to get something.

Guy and Arya were both sitting comfortably on the couch, talking amongst themselves when Damien arrived. Turning her attention to her brother, she was curious what he would say when he learned the truth about why Marcus had become more or less a shut-in these days. If their maker didn't show up and try to stop her, she really would tell Damien everything, in good time.

"I did, didn't I?" she replied to his question and smiled slightly. "Damien this is Guy, an old friend of ours. He's come all this way just to meet you," there was no point in trying to hide that for very long anyway, so she might as well get that out of the way. Unlike their other friends, Guy wasn't a complete pervert when it came to Damien, in fact, he was being very gentlemanly about it all. "It's nice to finally meet you," he said, his voice void of any French accent he might have had once upon a time.

"Please, do make yourself comfortable. I don't even know where to begin... There are so many things you just don't know about your beloved Marcus, like why he has refused to see you all week. Though I must admit, that is my fault." A chuckle escaped her, knowing full well her brother would more than likely be mad at her for what she'd done. "Did you know he's a cheat as well as a liar?"

It was alittle unsettling at Aryas.words concerning the vampire.named.Guy. Although it had been centuries since.he had really talked with vampires who had come from Europe. The man seemed like he used to have a accent that appeared to have almost disappeared overt time. "Same......" He answered, appearing uneasy about the whole thing now.

He looked back to Arya now at her words and immediately his eyes flashed blue at her words. He tapped into his telepathy, but he only heard alittle of what Arya had locked away in her mind. What he heard made his chest hurt and he let his head dropped, hearing what Arya said last that only confirmed what he heard and thought she was getting at.

He covered his face with his hands and felt a tear run down his face. Marcus had cheated on him. He covered his ears, as if trying to.block out anything his so called sister was going to tell him. But he did want to know what she else had to say, he didn't know things about Marcus that Arya knew. He looked up now, staring at her. It was clear that he was heartbroken, but he gave her his attention.

Damien's reaction was exactly what she'd been hoping for. She needed her brother to be hurt in order for Guy to stand a chance and it seemed learning the truth about Marcus's most recent betrayal was working. It was only natural for him to feel betrayed by her making Marcus cheat on his boyfriend, but then again, she'd known Marcus a lot longer than her brother and knew exactly which buttons to push to get him to give up without a fight.

"Oh don't be so hurt, little brother, he only did it to stop me from telling you a few of his secrets," she said with a smirk at seeing his heartbroken expression. "He took an innocent girl and shaped her to fit his every need. Twisted her until very little was left of her humanity to begin with and made her enjoy doing things that had never occurred to her whilst she was human. Let me show you," she said, figuring it was easier to let Damien just read her thoughts than to let Guy know what exactly it was that had made Marcus back away.

Speak of the devil, just as she was about to show Damien how they'd destroyed entire villages, villages just like his, Marcus arrived. He seemed to be keeping to himself though, not picking any of his fledgelings. Maybe he wanted to see how it would all play out after he figured out that Damien knew he'd cheated. Smiling slightly at her maker, Arya looked at Damien again, thinking back to the villages and how the raiders were always one step behind and looking for them. How that had led them to Damien's village and the raid that followed, simply because they were looking for the two vampires and wouldn't leave any stone unturned.

"Our dear Marcus hasn't quite been himself with you, Damien. He's been nothing but kind and gentle, but he needs to let that side of himself out every so often." Marcus was still quiet, and by the looks of things, locked in a quiet display of power with Guy. Both males seemed to be sizing the other up, trying to find out what exactly the other was about to do.

Damien was sitting in his chair, clearly frozen and listened.intently to everything that Arya was telling.him. What she said first didn't bother him that much, mainly because he sad angry with Arya and could care less what had happened.to her. But, what she had showed him next through telepathy would have a greater impact.on him.

He did.remember his mother, he remembered what she had.looked like and how much he loves her. Just as she was starting to give him images Marcus walked in. He didn't even look at his so.called boyfriend, knowing if he gave the man a passing glance that he might erupt. He merely looked at his sister, letting her.full images.of what had happened that night and the reasons behind it.

Once he had his full, he was stunned. He was as still as a statue, eyes.filled with so many emotions and inside everything that he had felt for Marcus crack. It was Marcus fault that he had lost everything that night. He gripped the chair and suddenly the ground started shaking violently before he stood up and turned, facing his so called boyfriend head on.

" ITS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!" He shouted. He had tears running down his face. "YOUR SUCH A SELFISH, ARROGANT BASTARD!!!!!YOU NOT ONLY CHEATED ON ME, BUT LIED TO ME......YOU LIED TO ME FOR SO LONG AND TOOK AWAY THE ONE PERSON THAT I HAD LEFT IN THIS WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He added. Damien had been angry with Marcus before, but was nothing compared to this. His anger turned into heartbreak. "Why......you wanted me so bad.....that an entire village and the.people that lives their had to die....including my mother...you could have saved her.....and you.cheat on me, when your suppose to only love me in that way." He said.

The only reason Arya had told Damien some of her story in all this was to give him a frame of reference as to what their maker was capable of. Marcus had never tried to mold her brother into anything but a suitable lover, Damien had never been forced to kill over and over again until it made no difference at all whether a person lived or died. He had had a greater freedom than most who could have ended up with Marcus as their sire, Alec had even more freedom than Damien. It was almost as if he truly was trying to change, but the way he'd reacted a few days ago when he got really angry gave her the proof she needed that he hadn't changed that much at all.

Damien's expressions were priceless when he finally learned the truth about what had happened that night centuries ago. It wasn't until everything started shaking that she realized it might not have been such a good idea to antagonize Damien that much. If it didn't stop before something broke, she was taking him down, company be damned. "Control yourself," she said ice cold, ignoring the fact that her brother was shouting at their maker. Just because he was mad as hell with Marcus, didn't mean he got to tear down her house.

Marcus had expected Damien to be mad at him, not just for cheating, but because of the whole thing with his past that he'd kept to himself. He didn't say anything until Damien stopped yelling, then he remained silent until the boy stopped talking. "Your village being destroyed had nothing to do with you at all. It was just bad luck that they reached a village we'd left more or less alone." Until now he'd kept his distance, not wanting to push Damien further away by putting any kind of pressure on him, but now he stepped closer to the boy he'd so clearly hurt.

"You knew I was selfish, arrogant and quite controlling before you got involved with me again," he started and stopped walking closer, he was just close enough to reach out and gently wipe away some tears before he dropped his arm again and continued: "Have I ever forced you to change into something you're not? I've never physically harmed you when I was mad at you, I had Arya for that. I didn't want to change you, or hurt you, because I love you, but I love her too, for different reasons."

Arya couldn't listen to anymore of of her maker's ramblings. He was desperate, she knew that. He didn't want to lose Damien, yet he didn't want to leave town like she'd suggested he do to keep Damien in the dark. "That's adorable," she said with a chuckle, amused by how pathetic Marcus could be when he really didn't know what to do about her brother. Getting up and walking over to her brother, she stepped between him and Marcus. "And not helping at all, is it sweetie? You see, Marcus had a simple choice to make. He could leave town and you wouldn't be any wiser, or he could stay and you'd learn the truth. Instead, he tried to compromise. If I can't have him, neither can you."

Tears ran down his face. He felt so stupid and used. He knew that Marcus had only taken him in because of his looks and he got over it.....but this was a whole new level of betrayal that he wouldn't forgive Marcus for a long time or maybe even ever. His mother was killed and his freedom and humanity were snatched away because of Marcus having enemies and his selfishness cost him his mother and life.

He ignored Arya, he was angry to the point where he would.unleash all his fury on her if she thought she could tell him what to do. He glared at his maker, moving back when the man got closer to him and swatted his hand away, not wanting to be touched. "Your so pathetic, you know that.....you can't stand to be by yourself so you chest and lie to get someone to stay with you." He hissed.

Arya stepped between the two of them and having the audacity to actually tell him that if she couldn't have Marcus then he couldn't either. "You want him so bad then take him, I don't want to.be with a cheat." He said and just turned his back on them and stormed out, slamming the door and headed to his car. He got in, but didn't drive off. He was to busy crying his eyes out, punching the dash board. "I'm so stupid......" He whispered and cried loudly.

He quickly got out of the car before they tried going outside to find him. He ran into the woods, using his.speed to get away from the house as quick as he could. He finally stopped when he came to.a abandoned cabin and sat down on the rotten steps, hiding his face in his knees and cried softly.

Marcus had screwed up big this time. They both knew that, and Arya really couldn't be more pleased with the situation. Sure, it sucked for Damien, but he'd deserved to learn the truth one way or another. They couldn't keep him in the dark forever, just because Marcus was afraid of being alone and she was too loyal to do anything about it. As it happened, it would only have been a matter of time before Damien learned the truth anyway with his telepathy. One wrong thought and he might have been able to learn the truth anyway.

When Damien stormed out of there, Arya looked at Guy. This was his chance to get to Damien and try to convince him. It didn't seem he minded at all and he stepped out of the room, probably going to find Damien. The moment they were alone, Marcus and Arya continued the destruction Damien had started. Things were sent flying across the room and the pair of them weren't nice about it either. At one point, Arya threw a chair at Marcus that missed and went crashing through the window. They had never really had a fair fight in all their time together, until now.

Finally, they were all out of rage as well as furniture to throw that wasn't already ruined and they just slumped to the floor, glaring at each other. Eventually, Arya crawled over to Marcus and leaned against him. "For what it's worth, I'm sorry."

Guy left to find Damien, fully aware that now was his best chance at reaching through to him. The boy was hurt, betrayed by his family. He ignored the shouting and crashes that came from the house and went to find Damien. When he found the boy, he approached slowly. "Are you going to be OK?" He asked, worried about Damien after all they'd put him through already. "Come out of town with me for a few days, get some distance from those two schemers and just clear your head, it would be good for you," he was doing his best to be gentle with him and not push him too far, all he wanted was for Damien to give him a chance.

He felt like Marcus never truly loves him. He actually thought that Marcus and him could love.a happy life together and really fell in love with him....the man betrayed him, used him and made him look like a fool. He honestly wanted to burn Aryas house down with them in it, but honestly thought neither one of them was worth it. He was done trying to to please Marcus and apparently he couldn't please him the way his sister could.

When he heard a males voice, he immediately looked up and alittle piece.of him hoped that it was Marcus, but it was the stranger that had been in Aryas house. When asked if he was okay, he looked away."Does it look like I'm alright." He whispered.

The purposal somewhat stunned him. He looked back at Guy."You don't even know me....." He said softly and stood up, rubbing his eyes. The offer was tempting. "Let me guess, want to get me alone so you can have your way with me?" He asked, not hiding his anger in his tone.

Guy knew perfectly well what it must seem like to Damien when he asked him to go away with him for a few days, but he really didn't plan on making any moves on him. It might be just what Damien needed to gain some perspective on things, maybe stop hurting so much. It really did pain him to see the young man in such pain, it didn't suit his beautiful features.

"Actually I really just want what's best for you, and right now that is getting away from those two for a bit. Just three days, full service, not having to worry about anything and an all you can eat buffet in the form of New York's streets. No pressure to do anything you don't want to do. I've only heard rumors and gossip about you, I'd like to get to know the real you." Guy had never been the scheming type, which was why he'd had issues with Marcus and Arya from time to time, but right now he just wanted to give the kid a chance to see that not every older vampire out there was a complete pervert.

"I'll be a perfect gentleman, I promise."

Damien tried not to be rude and laugh at what Guy said. He wanted what was best for him? The vampire didn't know anything about Damien, to him, their was only one reason why he would even be saying this things and that was because he wanted Damien all to himself. He just looked away from the older vampire once more.

At this point, he didn't trust anybody or anything. He was lied to by Marcus, he now knew that Marcus couldn't just be with one person, it would always be that either Arya or him would be on the side while their maker would go to the other. He was tired of being treated as second-best. Although Marcus was kind to him in a sense, he betrayed him and that couldn't just go unnoticed.

The trip did sound tempting, he wanted to just leave this place now and start fresh. He would no longer believe Marcus's sweet lies. "Arya sent you down here because she wants Marcus all to herself and your here to take me away." He said, narrowing his eyes at the vampire.

"How could you want to best for me, when you don't even know me....it makes no sense...you want something in return...I know you do." He added. Yeah, he was starting to become hostile and distrusting, he was like this when Marcus first turned him and he was going to be the same with Guy.

It made perfect sense that Damien would be distrustful. He was right, Guy didn't know the first thing about Damien that he hadn't heard from someone other than the guy himself. He really wasn't going to force Damien to do anything he didn't want to himself, his plan had always been to find a way to convince Damien to come with him rather than kidnap him like many others would. That might be another reason why it was him in particular that Arya had decided to tell where her brother was.

"If you choose to go with me, I'm already getting something in return, Damien. I get the satisfaction of having something, or rather someone, that matters a great deal to Marcus. I also get the satisfaction of imagining your sister and your maker making life miserable for one another for a long while. We're not really that good friends you see, I just have something Arya wants, so being given the opportunity to show you a good time fulfills her end of our agreement."

Marcus, Guy and Arya had a complicated relationship at best. They had made occasional trades, betrayed one another on various occasions and bested each other from time to time. Between events that eventually led to someone losing something precious, they were somewhat friends. More often than not, he didn't think about the odd duo at all when they weren't all in the same place or had business together, it made it easier not to fall for the temptation to try to ruin whatever scheme they had going on and thus be dragged into it.

"You're right though, I don't know you. I just know you're hurting, distrustful and probably don't believe a word I'm saying, but you can find out the truth easily enough. Unlike other people you have met, I don't believe in turning people to keep them as pets. Whenever I've turned someone, they've always been treated as an equal, with free will to make their own choices, and if they chose to leave, that has never been any of my business."

Damien kept his eyes on Guy, taking in everything the man was saying. Although he hated that this was just a way to hurt Marcus was.being used, it didnt matter that much to him since he was mad enough.at his maker to try and hurt him. His expression softened at the end of what Guy had.told him. Should he even go with this stranger? Maybe he should, it was high time that he met other.people and if.push comes to shove, he could just run away like he did with Marcus.

"Marcus probably wont even care if I leave , its clear that I don't mean that much to.him." He said softly and looked at Guy, eyes now filled with sadness.

Guy knew that getting Damien to come with him was just a way to get at both Marcus and Arya for both of them really. They might actually be able to have some fun despite it all, at the very least Guy would imagine how Marcus would react the next time he saw the man. It was a cheap thrill really, but maybe he could show Damien how it could be, how his fledgeling was allowed to go freely.

"I'm sure he'll care just enough to give me hell later. Just put it out of your mind for a little while, after everything he's done, he can't be mad at you if you do." He didn't know exactly what Marcus would do if Damien came with him for a few days, but he had a feeling it would be good for him to feel what it was like to lose someone for a while. It was obvious that Damien was still hurting. "At the end of the day, regardless of what happens next, you finally learned the truth about his past. Just between you and me, it sounded like they had one hell of a fight after we both left."
